Nova Scotia Daylilies

WELCOME TO  NOVA SCOTIA DAYLILIES

The "A-Z' list of the daylilies currently grown at Nova Scotia Daylilies has been updated for 2011.
This list contains many that have not been here long enough to divide.
It also contains plants which were lined out in August, 2011.
The fall divided plants will be offered for sale in the Spring of 2013, when they will have recovered sufficiently
to supply you with a nice sized ready to grow plant.

Diploid, Dormant (does not do well in zone 8 or higher),
Height 36",  Bloom 7",  very fragrant,  3 way branching, 15+ buds, proliferations are common, Pod & Pollen fertile.
The parents are the very well known daylilies "unknown" & "lost tag".
Parentage tag was lost to over-zealous Bantam Hens looking for a lunch.
This seedling from first bloom was known under the garden name of Golliwog on Steroids.
The name originates from the blizzard of Feb 18-19, 2004,  "White Juan".
This name spun from Hurricane Juan, the worst storm to hit Nova Scotia in 40 years.
Hurricane Juan hit Halifax, Nova Scotia dead on during the night from Sunday, September 28, 2003 to Monday, September 29, 2003
